Dr. Michal (Micki) Roll is an experienced healthcare and business development professional, dedicated to advancing translational research.
Micki has vast experience in clinical trial infrastructure development, both establishing and advancing the R&D departments for the leading Israeli hospitals, Tel Aviv Sourasky (Ichilov) Medical Center (TASMC) and Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO).
Micki is regarded as an expert in the field of technology transfer. She has overseen the creation of many patents and signed hundreds of licensing and research agreements for TASMC with international companies, a number of which were successfully commercialized and are already generating revenues.
Micki was selected by the Israeli government as a Member of the Directors Team in 2017, a recognized position to aid the government’s decision-making process on important healthcare matters. She is also on a number of Boards and a member of many leading healthcare associations, including Biobanking, Israeli Technology Transfer Network, Association of University Technology Managers, Israel Advanced Technology Industries and the Israeli Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ISGCT).
Micki is the former Deputy Director General of R&D at TASMC and had previously served as the Director of the Research Department at Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO). She holds an MBA and Ph.D in Medical Sciences with a Post Doctorate in Neurobiology.
Micki is a published author of numerous research papers and an accomplished lecturer. She teaches a course for the MBA Biomed Hebrew University, and lectures on the topics of entrepreneurship, intellectual property, clinical research and business development to medical professionals, research staff and students.
Micki is a keen entrepreneur, taking a great interest in scientific projects that can be translated into medical applications and enjoys assisting in their development into clinical use.
